Risk, in the impact investing context, is the uncertainty associated with achieving the projected financial and/or impact returns of an investment. The Blueprint identifies multiple risk categories: portfolio-level risk (diversification), impact risk (likelihood of not achieving projected resultants), data risk (around data integrity and availability), refinancing risk, and risk tolerance (investor-specific acceptable uncertainty).
