Stakeholders · Module 4

Equitable perspective

An equitable perspective informs design and the evaluation of social impact by viewing the problem and solution through the customers' lived experiences and taking action to address the barriers to success. In contrast to equality, which emphasizes uniformity, equity recognizes that different people may require tailored resources to succeed. Adopting an equitable lens requires identifying the specific circumstances or barriers that a group faces and providing tailored resources to help them overcome those barriers and reach the intended goal.
